Club Updates - Half Day Bookings are Live, Wildlife Rules, and Facility Standards
Brisbane & Gold Coast. We’re making it easier to ride more often as we head into summer. Half-day bookings are now live, and we’re tightening a few standards so everyone turns up to clean, fuelled Jetskis with no dramas.
Trident Jetskis at Sanctuary Cove Marina - Pier B
Half-day bookings (trial)
Morning: dawn (6:00 am) start — back, refuelled, and paperwork complete by 12:00 pm sharp
Afternoon: 1:00 pm to dusk
Full day: now 8:00 am start
You can book right up to the start of each slot (morning disappears 6:00 am; full-day 8:00 am; afternoon 1:00 pm).
If there’s only one Jetski left on a day, the system auto-converts the full-day into two half-days.
Where: Rivergate and Sanctuary Cove marinas (not available at Trailer Depots).
Counting: Half-days still count as one booking.
Wildlife & safe-distance rules (non-negotiable)
Approaching whales is illegal and dangerous. Maintain a 300 m exclusion zone around whales; within 100 m you can be held criminally responsible under Marine Parks and Wildlife regulations. Dugongs and dolphins have their own exclusion rules—know them before you go. If you don’t know what MSQ is, learn fast or don’t launch. Serious breaches (including harassing researchers) mean immediate removal and potential reports to authorities.
Trailer depots & training
Darra and Mermaid are open to members who’ve completed and passed trailer induction.
New to trailers? Book our 1-hour ramp training ($100) to hit baseline competency.
Hardware care matters: don’t yank 7-pin connectors—unplug carefully and secure them so they don’t drag.
Facilities: tidy in, tidy out
Sanctuary Cove and other facilities are zero tolerance for mess. No rubbish in skis. Return fuel full. Stow PFDs properly. Return equipment and report issues. Manager areas are off-limits.
Breaches (mess, missing fuel bars, using manager gear) incur a $50 cleanup fee; repeat offenders will be removed. We don’t want the fee—we want respect for the space.
Late payments
This won’t affect 99% of you. For repeat issues: two free passes; on the third, a $50 collection fee applies. We run tours; we’re not debt collectors.
Lost items & damage
If something is lost or damaged, report it immediately. Waiting to see if we “notice” is grounds for removal—no warnings. We’ve invested heavily so you can ride from $28/week; the trust runs both ways.
All Club Members and family using the Jetskis must maintain valid RMDL & PWCL Certifications and keep up to date on local rules and regulations.
Thanks team. We love seeing the photos of you out on the water with friends and family—that’s what makes the work worth it. As a note - 95% of your weekly membership goes to expenses, please follow the QR prompts, refuel, clean up, and put gear back where you found it, and we’ll keep the facilities looking mint, Jetskis running sweet and prices sharp for everyone.
Sincerely,
Devon Long
