FAQs
How old do I need to be?
16 is the minimum age to drive a Jetski. Passengers under 16 must have a driver 18+ and no passenger can be under 7 years old. Photo ID is required for all participants by law. Tours over 4 hours are restricted to 16+, and tours over 8 hours are restricted to 18+ for safety reasons. Participants over 65 must call our office for a fitness consultation before booking.
How much is it per person?
All prices are per Jetski, and each Jetski seats a maximum of 2 people (or 200kg). Solo riders get the whole Jetski to themselves. We will never pair you with a random person on another Jetski.
Do I get to drive the Jetski?
Yes — the price covers the whole Jetski. Share it with a friend or ride solo on any of our adventure tours.
Will we see marine life?
Trident Jetskis Adventure Tours are designed for the real explorers. Specialising in long-haul trips, our tours get you more time on the water and more chances for wildlife encounters. Dolphins, Dugongs, Turtles, and Stingrays are popular sightings on our tours. See our Adventures into Moreton Bay and around the Gold Coast for the best chances at a marine encounter.
Can you see Whales?
Yes — Whale Season is from August to November. Only tours into Moreton Bay will see whales, and it’s advisable to book a longer trip for the best chances. Not sure if your trip includes potential sightings? Contact our team for help.
Will I get wet?
Expect to have a splash on any of our popular Island Tours — These trips offer great spots for swimming, small to medium-sized waves, and an all-around fun time! Trips in protected waterways like the Brisbane River or the Gold Coast Mangrove Passages offer dry experiences and are great ways to get started on a Jetski.
Is there free parking?
Brisbane: Offers FREE street parking within 2 minutes of the marina and $10 Secure Paid Parking within the complex. Gold Coast: Offers FREE parking in all lots around the village.
What should I wear?
Dress for the weather and expect splashes. We recommend: long sleeves (rashie), a safari hat with a strap, shorts or swimmers, and sunglasses. In cooler months, bring a water-resistant jacket or windbreaker. Watershoes are not necessary, but can make your trip more comfortable. We provide all the safety gear required.
What should I bring?
Please bring your phone, sunscreen, and a small water bottle. A towel is nice to have, but not essential. DO NOT bring snacks or food items without permission from your guide.
Is there space to fit my things?
Whatever you need to bring, we assure you, there is room for it in the Jetski. The Sea-Doo GTI hosts a large 144L front stowage bin suitable for all bags smaller than a suitcase, and a large glove box perfect for a small waterbottle, phone, and keys with room to spare.
What happens if I break something?
If you break it, you pay for it. Reduced excess cover is available for $50 and limits your liability to $500. Standard excess is $2,500 for any damages.
What’s your cancellation policy?
FULL REFUND with notice of at least 24 hours. Last-minute cancellations or no-shows will not be refunded. If we cancel due to bad weather or mechanical failure, a full refund will be provided.
What if I don’t enjoy it?
If you showed up on time and didn’t have the amazing experience, we guarantee 50% of your money back. That’s our satisfaction guarantee, and we’re confident you will go home with a smile and amazing memories.
What happens if it’s bad weather?
Our tours operate rain or shine; however, any tour with forecasts outside of acceptable parameters will be cancelled with the option of a full refund, rebooking, or rain check. Looking for the perfect day? Contact our team with as much notice as possible, and we can try our best to accommodate you. Last-minute changes are accepted at the discretion of management.

FAQs
How old do I need to be?
You need to be at least 18 to have a membership with us.
Why do I need to join to hire a Jetski?
Due to the high-risk and high incident rate of Jetski-Hire, Trident Jetskis and most other operators do not offer unsupervised single-use hire. As a safer and insured alternative, we only offer access to our fleet through our Jetski Club.
How does it work?
Choose a plan, book your induction, then jump on Jetskis whenever you want at any of our facilities along the coast.
What options are there?
You can choose between a Pay-Per-Use plan and a Free-Use plan. The most popular option is our Free-Use Ultimate Plan, which grants members free access to our fleet anytime, anywhere up to 5 times a month.
How much does it cost to hire on the Pay-Per-Use plan?
Prices start at $80 for a half day and $120 for a full day. Larger and higher-horsepower models cost slightly more, and all models are subject to a 15% surcharge on long weekends. See prices on our Jetski-Hire page. Traditional hire companies charge $499+ per day.
How long is a booking?
Bookings are as long as you want, book it for a half day or full day. Choice is yours. You can even book multiple days together for an overnight adventure. Please note — Jetski must be removed from the water each night, no overnight mooring. Trailers provided by Trident Jetskis for free.
I don’t have a towball. What can I do?
Towing is not required, with most of our Jetskis sitting ready to go from our pontoons at our marina locations. It’s the most convenient way to get on the water and start exploring. 100% hassle free.
Can I take the Jetski camping?
Of course you can! Most of our members love taking our Jetskis camping and over the holidays — you can too once you join the club. We offer a range of models available for pickup on trailers in Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
Is there a contract?
Yes — to deliver the service advertised, we need to know our members are committed. Trident Jetskis invests heavily in financing new skis and secures long-term contracts for facilities. We are looking to build a club of people who value our commitment to them as much as we value their commitment to us. All plans are on 12-month contracts, which can be paid weekly, monthly, or yearly. Once your contract is finished, you can leave anytime; no additional yearly commitments are required.
What’s the security deposit?
This deposit is a fully refundable deposit held by Trident Jetskis over the term of your membership. Its $2,000 and fully refunded back to you when you decide to leave.
Why does Trident need to hold my deposit?
Deposits are held to keep away potential bad actors. Our members have access to $400,000+ worth of equipment at anytime and we have an obligation to our fellow marina berth-holders and landlords to ensure only vetted and financially secure customers have access to our sites. In return for providing us with this security, we grant you access to our facilities and Jetskis, 24/7, 365 days a year.
Is fuel included?
No — Just like a car hire, you pay for what you use. All Jetskis will be provided to you full, and it’s expected they are returned full. Fuel bowsers are available on the water 24/7, 7 days a week. To refuel a trailered Jetski, you can use any normal service station.
What is the insurance coverage?
All Jetskis are covered under TridentCover, our self-insurance policy. It covered vessel damage in excess of $2,000. It does not cover third-party liability or personal injury, and restrictions apply to the policy for cases of negligence and intoxication. Standard maintenance and wear and tear are covered by Trident Jetskis.
Can I bring a passenger?
Yes — it’s your Jetski, ride with whoever you like.
How far in advance do I need to book?
We generally have availability even within 24 hours, but popular days in summer — especially weekends and public holidays — do book out. Book early to be safe.
Are there any restricted activities?
Yes — we do have a few common sense rules when out on the water; (1) ride at your experience level, if it’s your first trip, dont go planning a 200km+ circumnavigation of Queensland or tow-in surfing, (2) no coastal bar crossings without notice given to the local manager, (3) no wavejumping offshore, our skis are for exploring not aviation, (4) no keeping the Jetski in the water without express permission from staff, its easy for skis to sink, get stolen, or drift out to sea if left overnight in the water, (5) follow all the state and local laws. That’s it — 5 easy rules every boatie should follow to keep safe out on the water.
