Before You Book
No licence is required. Every tour is guided and all riders receive a full safety briefing before departure. You need to be 16 or older to operate a jetski.
16 is the minimum age to drive a Jetski. Passengers under 16 must have a driver 18+ and no passenger can be under 7 years old. Photo ID is required for all participants by law. Tours over 4 hours are restricted to 16+, and tours over 8 hours are restricted to 18+ for safety reasons. Participants over 65 must call our office for a fitness consultation before booking.
All prices are per Jetski, and each Jetski seats a maximum of 2 people (or 200kg). Solo riders get the whole Jetski to themselves. We will never pair you with a random person on another Jetski.
All Trident jetskis seat two people. The tour price per jetski includes both seats, so if you're coming as a pair you only pay one tour price.
Yes — the price covers the whole Jetski. Share it with a friend or ride solo on any of our adventure tours.
Yes — tours under three hours are well suited to first-timers. The majority of Trident guests have never ridden a jetski before, and a qualified guide will brief you on the controls and set the pace. For longer tours like the Stradbroke Island Adventure or The Tangalooma Tour, a little confidence on the water helps — though no licence or prior experience is required.
Trident tours are designed for real explorers. Specialising in long-haul trips, our tours get you more time on the water and more chances for wildlife encounters. Dolphins, Dugongs, Turtles, and Stingrays are popular sightings. See our Adventures into Moreton Bay and around the Gold Coast for the best chances at a marine encounter.
Yes — Whale Season runs from August to November. Only tours into Moreton Bay will see whales, and it's advisable to book a longer trip for the best chances. Not sure if your trip includes potential sightings? Contact our team for help.
Expect splashes on any of our Island Tours — these trips offer great spots for swimming, small to medium-sized waves, and an all-around fun time. Trips in protected waterways like the Brisbane River or the Gold Coast Mangrove Passages offer drier experiences and are great ways to get started on a Jetski.
Dress for the weather and expect splashes. We recommend long sleeves (rashie), a safari hat with a strap, shorts or swimmers, and sunglasses. In cooler months, bring a water-resistant jacket or windbreaker. Watershoes are not necessary but can make your trip more comfortable. We provide all the safety gear required.
Please bring your phone, sunscreen, and a small water bottle. A towel is nice to have but not essential. Do not bring snacks or food items without permission from your guide.
Yes — there is room for everything in the Jetski. The Sea-Doo GTI has a large 144L front stowage bin suitable for all bags smaller than a suitcase, and a glove box perfect for a water bottle, phone, and keys with room to spare.
Brisbane: free street parking within 2 minutes of the marina, and $10 secure paid parking within the complex. Gold Coast: free parking in all lots around the village.
Yes. Private departures are available for groups of 4 or more jetskis — ideal for bucks parties, birthdays, corporate team building, and special events. Contact Trident directly to discuss custom arrangements.
Full refund with at least 24 hours notice. Last-minute cancellations or no-shows will not be refunded. If we cancel due to bad weather or mechanical failure, a full refund will be provided.
Our tours operate rain or shine; however, any tour with forecasts outside of acceptable parameters will be cancelled with the option of a full refund, rebooking, or rain check. Contact our team with as much notice as possible and we'll do our best to accommodate you. Last-minute changes are accepted at the discretion of management.
If you showed up on time and didn't have an amazing experience, we guarantee 50% of your money back. That's our satisfaction guarantee — and we're confident you'll go home with a smile and great memories.
If you break it, you pay for it. Reduced excess cover is available for $50 and limits your liability to $500. Standard excess is $2,500 for any damages.

Trident Jetskis operates guided self-drive jetski tours from two locations in South East Queensland: Rivergate Marina in Murarrie (15 minutes from the Brisbane CBD) and Sanctuary Cove Marina on the Gold Coast (30 minutes from Surfers Paradise). Together, these two bases give riders access to some of Queensland's most spectacular waterways — Moreton Bay, St Helena Island, North Stradbroke Island, Tangalooma, Moreton Island, and the ancient mangrove systems in the Gold Coast. Every tour is run by a qualified guide who leads the group, points out wildlife, and ensures every rider is comfortable at the pace. No jetski licence or boat licence is required — Queensland law permits guided passengers to operate a personal watercraft under direct supervision. Riders must be 16 or older to operate, with younger guests welcome as pillion passengers with an adult driver. Brisbane tours depart from Rivergate Marina, Murarrie and explore Moreton Bay — the Brisbane Big City Adventure follows the bay past the city skyline, the St Helena Island Safari rides out to Queensland's historic prison colony-turned-national park, and the Moreton Bay Islands Adventure is a half-day journey through the outer island chain.
